NTP Server
An NTP (Network Time Protocol) server is a computer or device that is used to provide time synchronization services to other computers or devices on a network. NTP servers use the Internet's infrastructure to synchronize the time of client computers with a reference clock, typically a GPS clock or a radio clock. This ensures that all devices on the network have the same, accurate time, which is important for many applications, including financial transactions, event logging, and security. NTP servers are often used in enterprise networks, as well as in other large-scale networks such as those used by universities and government agencies.
